Swanage - what a great place!

Swanage is a lovely seaside town in Dorset with a picturesque bay, award-winning beach, wonderful views and walks, plus a great climate. Swanage Central beach was granted the Quality Coast Award in conjunction with Keep Britain Tidy, for its recreational facilities as well as its sheltered bay, where visitors can seek protection from the bracing winds. The sloping sands and attractive landscaped gardens plus the pier were also taken in to consideration, making it an "ideal place for gentle exercise and a winter stroll". Other factors, which have made the beach unique, is nearby Durlston Country Park, the steam train, which visits Corfe Castle and its cafes and restaurants.
