Starting from the pier, walk along the High Street. The first venue is the
White Horse (11 High St), then the Purbeck Hotel (19),
Ship Inn (23a),
White Swan (The Square), Anchor (30), Red Lion (63),
Moonlight Bistro (67), Black Swan (159) and Royal Oak
(417).
The Kings Bar is 2-4 Kings Rd East, that is just off the High
Street in between the Anchor and the Red Lion.
The Barking Frog is 37 Station Road, about halfway between Swanage
railway station and the Mowlem Theatre. You can get there from the High
Street via Institute Road and turn left, or Kings Road East and turn right
and right again.
Swanage Bay View
is less than one mile from the town centre
and a taxi costs around £3 total for four people from town centre. Up the High St, past the
Black Swan, turn left along Priests Rd, left again up Panorama Rd and it’s
on your right. The Crow’s Nest is a mile from the town centre and a
taxi costs around £3 total for four people from town centre. Along the bay, bear left up the
short hill and it’s number 11 Ulwell Road. Turn right off Ulwell Road into
Burlington Road and the Grand Hotel is on the right.
The Bankes Arms Hotel, East Street, Corfe Castle is in the village
of Corfe Castle, just under five miles from Swanage and about the same
distance from Wareham. The
Swanage Railway runs there from Swanage.
Shell Bay Seafood Restaurant & Bar, Ferry Road, Studland is by the
Swanage-Sandbanks ferry, six miles from Swanage.
